At the end of 2019, a strange Final Fantasy VII Remake demo leaked on the PlayStation Store. The opening cinematic was revealed and a load of new gameplay but the source of the demo was a mystery. Ever since then, we have known there was a demo going to be released and it has finally arrived. You can now experience the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo in full-on PS4 today.
Square Enix released the demo and it can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store either by visiting the site on your browser or on your console itself. According to the details, any progress you make in the demo will not carry over to the main game.
Square Enix also explains that the demo is not a full representation of the final game either and content may differ. According to the site, the demo is the first chapter of the game including the iconic Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission.
There is also an exclusive theme that users will be able to download if they play the demo. The theme will be available from 10 March 2020 until 11 April 2020.
