Square Enix will share something Final Fantasy VII Remake related this week. According to event director Motomu Toriyama, the news will arrive during the upcoming concert which takes place on 13 February 2021.

Toriyama revealed in a special video message that “there will be a special part of the concert where I’ll make an appearance and talk about a few FFR7 contents to be revealed only during this event, so please tune in!”

As of now, we don’t know what the news is. However, we can predict a few things. Firstly, it has almost been a year since Final Fantasy VII Remake released on PS4. Although the game released on 10 April 2020 due to a delay in development, the original release date was set for 3 March. According to the original agreement with Square Enix, Final Fantasy VII Remake would stay a PS4 exclusive for one year. This means that Xbox and PC players might see a port announcement this weekend which could slate the game to release in early March.

Secondly, there’s been talk of a possible PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of the game currently in development. If this is true, then we could also see the announcement take place this weekend. Whatever happens, we will share the news as it is announced.
