Scream 6 hits cinemas on 10 March worldwide and a final trailer has appeared online in anticipation of its release. Pull quotes were selected by reviewers who got to see the movie ahead of time and it’s all glowing, with one outlet calling it the scariest Scream yet.
The brutal final trailer for Scream 6 shows a new cast as well as returning characters from past Scream movies, including veteran star Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Instead of being set in the usual town of Woodsboro, the next Scream will take fans to New York and give Ghostface a new playground for their killings. Of course, part of the charm of the Scream movies is figuring out who the killer is and this time, Ghostface has a much more sinister presence.

The trailers so far suggest that Scream 6 might be leaning more into its horror elements than ever before but according to early impressions, it hasn’t forgotten its tongue-in-cheek meta commentary roots either. The description provided under the new trailer highlights the main and supporting cast:
Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.
Ortega previously stated how much more violent and gory Scream 6 is compared to its predecessors, saying “this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen.” Hopefully these violent tones don’t overshadow the clever identity of the Scream movies and we get a worthy entry into the beloved horror franchise.
