Rockstar Games GTA 6 Leak Statement

First GTA 6 Trailer Confirmed to Arrive in Early December

Rockstar Games has casually announced the next Grand Theft Auto in a social media post, confirming that the first trailer for GTA 6 will arrive sometime in early December. This follows a report from Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier who claimed that the company was preparing to make an announcement this week with a trailer drop expected for next month. This report has now been confirmed.

Rockstar Games recently posted a Twitter/X thread thanking fans for their continued support of the company’s games before finally dropping the bombshell that GTA 6 will get a reveal trailer next week. “Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games. Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about,” wrote Rockstar.

Rockstar Games boss Sam Houser concluded by stating:

“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you. Thank you, Sam Houser.”

As of writing, the tweet has 4.5 million impressions with over 150k likes and rising. Rockstar Games didn’t specifically state what the title of the game will be other than “the next Grand Theft Auto“, though thanks to the massive leak that took place last year, we already know that it will be set in Vice City again and feature dual protagonists: a male and a female. Things could’ve easily changed in development during that time so it’s best to take that information with a grain of salt for now.

The early December period plants the reveal trailer as potentially being shown at Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards, though this has never been Rockstar’s style in the past (see the reveals for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 – both reveal trailers were simply released online). We won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
