First Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Looks Fantastic

The first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer has been unleashed by Warner Bros. and it looks awesome, with Gal Gadot reprising her role as Diana, aka Wonder Woman. The trailer reveals a new villain and a surprise return of Steve Trevor, portrayed by Chris Pine, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

In the first film, which took place in 1918, Steve Trevor sacrificed his life to save Diana, so it is a bit confusing to see him make a return, but maybe he survived the plane crash. Warner Bros. didn’t give a lot of details about Wonder Woman 1984 or how Steve Trevor will return, but the first trailer that you can view at the bottom of this article does introduce Cheetah, one of Diana’s archenemies in the comics, as well as Max Lord.

A short description of the film reads:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33FFDF” class=”” size=”20″]Diana comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s and finds a formidable foe by the name of the Cheetah.[/perfectpullquote]

After watching the trailer we still have more questions but it does look fantastic with the 80s theme and will be something for superhero fans to look forward to. Gal Gadot is as awesome as ever and fans of the DC comics should get excited, as Cheetah first appeared all the way back in Wonder Woman issue 6 in 1943.

Cheetah is portrayed by Kristen Wiig and we can’t wait to see what Warner Bros. has in store for the character come 5 June 2020 when the film hits cinemas.
