Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 Hits PS VR2 This December

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, the sequel to the 2019 VR game, finally has a December release date for PS VR2. The sequel was first unveiled earlier this year but we’ve heard little about it since then. However, developer Steel Wool Studios recently dropped the first gameplay trailer giving players a taste of what it’s like to be an employee at Fazbear Entertainment – it’s not as glamorous as it sounds.

Five Nights at Freddys: Help Wanted 2 will take full advantage of the Sense controllers for PS VR2 as well as the haptics inside the headset itself. “Backstage, Fazcade, Staff Only, Food Prep, Ticket Booth, and a special category containing the new VR versions of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location gameplay,” reads the game’s description, giving fans an idea of what minigames they can experience in the sequel.

Ray McCaffrey, executive producer at Steel Wool Studios, stated that the team’s “primary goal when designing Help Wanted 2 was to make it dynamic enough that players would want to dive in repeatedly.”

“We developed many of the games so they’d be different each time you played, and we accomplished this by building an extraordinary amount of possibilities the player can be presented with. Between taking customer orders, doing arts and crafts, or helping out the maintenance staff, (and plenty of other games), the player is faced with new requirements each time, keeping the challenge fresh and fun. That said, more than a few of the games have the spirit of the original Help Wanted and take players through the more curated experiences we love crafting.”

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 launches exclusively on PS5 and PS VR2 on 14 December 2023. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below:
