Fortnite went dark earlier this week and players have been anxiously awaiting the return of their favourite Battle Royale title from Epic Games. Now, finally, the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 cinematic trailer, as well as a gameplay trailer, have been released. It is a cinematic trailer showcasing the new island, characters and it does look awesome.

In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1, you will be able to carry downed teammates. There’s also a diving mechanic, a bit of a graphical overhaul and fishing! Further, the Battle Pass brings with it Scavenge, Battle and Survival medal upgrades. Further, players will be able to battle it out using speedboats and yes, there are pogo sticks to ride on, because why not?

On the Epic Games launcher, the big update for Fortnite Chapter 2 has also been released so you can start downloading it right now, with an update size of 15GB.

At the time of writing, the official Fortnite channels are still dead but things are slowly starting to come online, with a gameplay trailer also being revealed on iOS. At the time of writing, it is unclear when players will be able to jump into the game, but it looks to be soon, very soon.
