Fortnite Might Be Getting Collabs With Tekken and Yakuza

Epic Games continues to improve its collaborations in Fortnite with various IPs and next in line is reportedly Tekken and Yakuza. The game will receive its highly anticipated Fortnite OG: Chapter 1 – Season 1, planned to release on 6 December. Looking ahead, there might be more collaborations in the works as part of the theme of the new season.

The leak comes from Shpeshal Nick, a leaker who has a 50/50 track record of accurate leaks so we recommend taking this with a pinch of salt. Nick claims that he received a list of Fortnite collaborations as far back as February this year with potential crossovers including Tekken and Yakuza. Nick speculates that since this season’s theme is based around being a “hunter” and Japan, this might be the right time to drop those collaborations.

Considering the amount of random collaborations Epic Games has gone through already with Fortnite, Tekken and Yakuza don’t seem too far-fetched. Epic Games already collaborated with Capcom after it introduced a Street Fighter crossover which added Chun-Li, Ryu, Cammy and other characters as skins to the battle royale. Unfortunately, the game has yet to see a crossover with Mortal Kombat which is one of the most highly-requested franchises to be added to Fortnite.

With the launch of Fortnite OG next month, Epic Games detailed all the changes that will be coming to the game including a price hike for standard battle passes. Instead of costin 950 V-bucks, battle passes will instead cost 1,000 V-Bucks going forward. However, players will likely get a lot of value from the Fortnite Crew bundle which includes monthly Crew Pack outfits, Crew Pack outfit styles and Rocket League’s Premium Rocket Pass. From 1 December, it will also include the Music Pass and LEGO Pass without getting a price increase.

We’ll have to wait for an announcement from Epic Games regarding these rumoured collabs with Tekken and Yakuza.
