Things have been quite hectic in the world of Fortnite with the massive event that took place earlier this week. In case you didn’t know, the whole map was swallowed by a black hole and when the servers finally came back online, a new map and much more awaited players. However, the game isn’t without some issues and developer Epic Games is hard at work on the Fortnite Chapter 2 issues.

Epic Games have deployed the first Fortnite patch to address some of these Chapter 2 issues. “Some” is the keyword here as the severe FPS drops on PC reported by players are still being investigated. However, the Fortnite patch (11.00.1) does hold some key fixes for Chapter 2 issues.
- Setting/keybind reset – if you’re playing your first game today, your settings will be untouched
- Incorrect achievements showing
- Screen appearing cropped/zoomed on consoles
As you can see, the Fortnite patch doesn’t address the PC performance issues. However, Epic Games did give an update on the topic, explaining on Twitter that:

While digging into what’s causing this, we could use your help. Please share links with us with videos showing the issues you’re seeing. Thank you![/perfectpullquote]
It is great to see the developer deploying updates for the game quickly and hopefully, all issues will be resolved soon, as the FPS drops can be very annoying especially for those who have monster PCs and want to get that extremely smooth experience.
