Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Map Epic Games 44.7 Million Players

Fortnite Raises Battle Pass Price Amidst Big Changes

Epic Games has raised the price of a standard Fortnite battle pass amidst some big changes coming to the game very soon. Since the launch of the battle royale, most players would’ve had to spend 950 V-Bucks to renew their battle pass in the game. However, that’s now slightly increasing on 1 December but players will also be getting a bargain when Fortnite OG: Chapter 1 – Season 1 arrives on 6 December.

Epic Games detailed these changes in a recent post on its website yesterday, confirming that it’s raising the price of the standard Fortnite battle pass from 950 V-Bucks to 1,000 V-Bucks. Players can spend real-world money to purchase this battle pass or accumulate V-Bucks by simply reaching certain battle pass levels, so that won’t be changing. The real deal sweetener is the $12,99 Fortnite Crew bundle.

The Fortnite Crew bundle currently offers players the standard Fortnite battle pass, 1,000 V-Bucks, monthly Crew Pack outfits, Crew Pack outfit styles and Rocket League’s Premium Rocket Pass. From 1 December, it will also include the Music Pass and LEGO Pass without getting a price increase – a pretty fantastic deal for players to reap more benefits without really spending additional money.

The big event of December is undoubtedly the return of Fortnite OG, which Epic Games confirmed will be a permanent addition to the game going forward. The OG map returned last year for a limited-time event, giving players a kick of nostalgia by allowing them to play on the very first map introduced in the battle royale. Beyond that, the return of Fortnite OG also means that players will now be able to acquire skins, items and rewards that were previously only limited to past seasons.

Fortnite OG launches on 6 December for PC and consoles. Starting from 1 December, the price of a battle pass will slightly increase but players will receive a lot more rewards.
