Forza Horizon 5 Review Forza Horizon 5 South African Launch

Forza Horizon 5 Reportedly Coming to PS5

This morning the internet has been flooded with new reports that Microsoft plans to launch Forza Horizon 5 on PS5. Various sources close to Microsoft claim the game is currently being ported to Sony’s hardware but there’s no release window just yet.

To make things even more interesting, sources claim that Microsoft will announce an Xbox port for PS5 very soon but this reveal isn’t going to be Forza Horizon 5. Instead, there’s “another” game in the works. So by the look of things, Microsoft is currently working on two major Xbox ports for PS5.

One of these is Forza Horizon 5 and the other is unknown. It could be anything at this rate. A few weeks back we heard that Microsoft was porting the Halo Master Chief Collection to PS5. We also heard rumblings of the Gears series. However, all of these so-called “reports” might have just been noise at the time.

Microsoft has expressed its interest in porting games to PS5. We have already seen Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves land on PlayStation. The upcoming DOOM: The Dark Ages is also coming to PS5 and according to rumours, so is the Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.

Of course, take this with a pinch of salt for now. Multiple sources, who are often reliable when it comes to this sort of leak, have doubled up on the Forza Horizon 5 rumour. However, at the same time, they claim there’s a lot more being ported over than just the racing game.

With Gamescom next week, we might see these ports officially announced by Microsoft. But at this rate who knows? We have also heard that Starfield currently has “no plans” for PS5 but it hasn’t been written off just yet.
