The GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher is currently running an awesome free games special. Anyone that owns The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or GOTY Edition on console or another PC gaming launcher can get it for free on PC. All you need to do is head over to the GOG Galaxy 2.0 site, download the launcher and connect it to any other service where you have The Witcher 3 achievements or trophies. For example, if you own the game on PS4 and launched it once, you can redeem the game for PC. In addition, you can also just borrow a friend’s copy of the game or use their account to install it on PS4 or Xbox One in order to claim it for free on GOG. Unfortunately, the offer is not available for Nintendo Switch version of the game.

- Head to the GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher site
- Download and install the launcher
- Sign in or create a new account
- At the top left-hand corner click on the cog – choose “add games and friends” then “connect platforms”
- Sign in to the other platform you own or have played The Witcher 3 on before
- The game will then appear in the GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher

If you already own the game on GOG.com, you can get a giftable code which you can give to a friend. This offer includes both the GOTY edition and Wild Hunt.
The servers may be under pressure at the moment but keep trying to see if you can claim the game for free. Remember, even if you don’t own the game, you can borrow a friend’s PSN or Xbox Live account, download the game, start it on your profile and redeem the free GOG version.
