Embark Studios, the Stockholm-based studio set up by former EA executive Patrick Söderlund will announce its game during The Game Awards this week. Söderlund has been teasing the project for some time already. Back in February last year, Embark Studios released some concept art for what we know now as ARC Raiders.
The studio revealed that the game is a free-to-play co-op shooter being built on the Unreal Engine and last night on Twitter, they released the first teaser video for the game.

There isn’t much going on in the trailer. The tagline says “enlist, resist” and shows some grainy footage and a brief frame of a character shooting a rolling ball. It then ends with a 9 December date confirming its debut at The Game Awards 2021.

Very little is known about ARC Raiders at this point. The concept art shows off large-scale environments and even a massive robot shadow in the distance. There’s even a piece of art showing off a character shooting into the sky. We don’t know what they are shooting at but it must be pretty huge.
Get ready for the reveal taking place this week. You can tune into The Game Awards this week from 4:30 pm PT / 7:30 pm ET / 02:30 CAT (10 Dec).
