Path of Exile PS4

Free-to-Play Path of Exile PS4 Release Date Confirmed

Path of Exile was originally planned for a December 2018 release date back when Grinding Gear Games revealed that they would be bringing the game to PS4 back in November of 2017. The game has since seen multiple delays.

Grinding Gear Games announced today that the Path of Exile PS4 will be launching with the new Synthesis Expansion on 26 March 2019. This is following two delays of the game.

Not sure why the delays were in place but it could have had something to do with the new Synthesis Expansion which forces players to redownload the entire game. Clearly, the devs wanted to have this expansion ready for the PS4 release which could have delayed the launch.

Grinding Gear Games revealed the release date on Facebook with the news that they would be sharing more information on the game’s release in the coming days.

Path of Exile is a free-to-play top-down action RPG with a big inspiration from the Diablo series. The game released before Diablo 3 on PC at first and received positive feedback from critics and fans. It was claimed to be the Diablo 2 sequel we never received after Diablo 3 moved away from the traditional gameplay we loved from the series.

The PS4 version will support PS4 Pro enhancements as well as all the current content to date including the Synthesis Expansion, the revamped skill tree and all the content updates release on Xbox One and PC.
