It has been quite sad to witness fans turn on Game of Thrones season 8. Although I have not watched it yet, the general consensus on social media points to it being the most disappointing season in the show’s running. So bad that fans are demanding that HBO remake the entire season.
A petition started on change.org (of course) details the dissatisfaction from fans on how the story is unfolding and “demands” that HBO replaces Game of Thrones season 8 showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss with new writers.

The petition, created by Dylan.D aks HBO to redo the entire season 8 with competent writers and it has already reached 250,000 signatures. The petition states that the series deserves a final season that “makes sense”. At least there are no spoilers in the post at all which is great for those who have not caught up yet.

Apart from the petition, fans all over social media have been posting negative memes about Game of Thrones season 8 and how badly it has turned out. The writing has moved too far off the source material which made the past seasons so strong.
The general feeling about this is that HBO turned the show to favour everyone’s favourite characters and is making it end in a “fairytale ending”.
We know nothing will come from this petition but the amount of traction that it is gaining is good enough to prove that the latest Game of Thrones season 8 is the worst ever made.
