Gameloft Hiring For Ambitious AAA Open-World Multiplayer Game

Gameloft, the studio behind multiple mobile games as well as the recent Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently hiring for a new ambitious project. By the sound of things, this game is being designed to be a Genshin Impact competitor with similar mechanics, world design and multiplayer components. The game is also in development for PC and console which is a new direction for Gameloft which has been known for its mobile titles.

Gameloft recently launch Disney Dreamlight Valley on PC and consoles and it marked one of the studio’s newest approaches to the gaming market. The game is currently in early access and can be played through Xbox Game Pass or founder packs on other platforms. This new title will likely follow the same approach but according to the job listing, the game is still in pre-production.

The studio describes this new game as a “highly ambitious unannounced AAA open-world multiplayer PC/console game”. It is being built on Unreal Engine 4 and mentions the developer needs to have expertise in the engine.

Designing and managing various game systems, game mechanics through the full cycle of production from concept to final stage in a multiplayer open world experience.

The development of this unannounced game on Unreal Engine 4 also marks a new direction for Gameloft which originally built its games using an in-house engine. Even Disney Dreamlight Valley has been created on the Unity engine.

At the moment details are scarce surrounding this game. However, given Gameloft’s previous experience, the title will likely be a live-service multiplayer game with added content being released through DLC.

I am currently playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and it is very good. This new project definitely sounds interesting if that game is anything to go on.
