Microsoft has made a giant leap in the right direction with the Games with Gold August 2019 lineup. May was one of the worst months ever, June wasn’t great, while July was at least a bit better but still didn’t feature AAA titles. Now, Microsoft has come out swinging with the Games with Gold August 2019 lineup.

Two big AAA titles headline the Games with Gold August 2019 lineup namely Gears of War 4 and Forza Motorsport 6. Sure, they both might be a bit old but they are must-play titles if you own an Xbox One. With Gears 5 releasing in September, it makes sense for Microsoft to give away Gears of War 4 in the August lineup especially since gamers can earn rewards for Gears 5 by playing Gears of War 4 right now.
The two Xbox One titles are outstanding, but as you know by now, there are two more Xbox 360 games that Xbox One owners can play as well thanks to backward compatibility. Microsoft even upped their game with the Xbox 360 titles, giving players the classic ARPG Torchlight as well as the action-adventure title that saw great praise from critics, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Gears of War 4
