Last month, the Games with Gold free games lineup was pretty solid. In fact, the last few months have been decent and Microsoft seemed to have improved their picks with a nice variety of titles. The Games with Gold May 2019 lineup brings with it another four games for Xbox One owners to grab (two via Backward Compatibility) but it is, without a doubt, one of the worst months ever.

Normally, there’s at least 1 or 2 titles that draw the attention or makes you want to try them, at least. In the Games with Gold May 2019 lineup, however, there’s really nothing worth it, in my opinion. The first Xbox One title is Marooners, a party game that has a score of just over 50% on Metacritic. Then, we have a golf game…yes, golf. Talk about a niche title right there. Then, there are the two Xbox 360 games that also leave a lot to be desired, but Earth Defense Force is at least something Xbox Live Gold subscribers might want to look, maybe…
