Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 recently took place in Cologne, Germany to a packed crowd, featuring plenty of updates on exciting upcoming games as well as a few surprises along the way. We got our first look at the “open combat” gameplay for the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, new looks at the anticipated action-RPG titles Black Myth: Wukong and Crimson Desert and much more. Apart from an awkward trailer drop for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon (and another unfortunate stage crash), Gamescom ONL delivered an admittedly solid event from host Geoff Keighley. Some of the more exciting reveals came in the form of sequels with Little Nightmares 3 and Killing Floor 3, while Tekken 8 finally got a release date of 26 January 2024.
