Gamescom Opening Night Live is one of the biggest gaming shows of the year. Hosted annually by Geoff Keighley, the event usually packs big announcements and new trailers for upcoming games in the industry. This year, Keighley confirmed that there will be a new game reveals to go along with a handful of new looks at titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, Marvel Rivals and more.

Speaking on X about the upcoming Gamescom Opening Night Live set to take place on Tuesday, 20 August, Geoff Keighley revealed a handful of games that will make appearances at the event. Fans can expect updates on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Marvel Rivals, Dune Awakening, Monster Hunter Wilds, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. He later added that viewers can also expect “new game announcements” during the show, though Keighley is being tight-lipped about it.

Gamescom Opening Night Live precedes the annual gaming expo that takes place in Cologne, Germany every year. This year’s event will run from 21-25 August where attendees will get to try out demos on the showfloor for anticipated upcoming games. However, the kick-off event usually attracts the attention of viewers around the world for its exciting game announcements, new reveals and trailers.

In addition to the list of games Keighley mentioned, THQ Nordic confirmed that it will reveal a new game at Gamescom from Tarsier Studios, the developers behind Little Nightmares. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will also debut a new trailer at the show.

Beyond that, the rest is up to speculation. Gamescom Opening Night Live will be followed up by The Game Awards later this year – two major annual gaming events both hosted by Keighley.

Gamescom Opening Night Live will take place on 20 August at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST or 8pm SAST.
