Rumours surrounding a GeForce GTX 1160 Ti and just the 11-series, in general, have been floating around for quite some time now. NVIDIA has not officially confirmed this range, but more and more alleged leaks are suggesting that we might see an 11-series range based on the Turing architecture. The GeForce GTX 1160 Ti benchmarks have reportedly surfaced and they do look quite good.

Keep in mind that this should all be taken with a large helping of salt until such time as NVIDIA officially reveals the GPU if it is, in fact, real, to begin with. The 11-series range, according to rumours is basically the same as the RTX range but without the Ray-Tracing cores. This should, in theory, keep the price of the cards down as well. If the GPU is real and if the price is lower than its RTX counterparts, then we are looking at some serious price versus performance.
The leaked benchmarks come from Twitter user “TUM_APISAK” who is, according to HotHardware, a “notorious leaker”. The benchmark allegedly shows the GeForce GTX 1160 Ti performance in Ashes of Singularity, which you can view below.
Judging by the benchmarks, the GeForce GTX 1160 Ti should be about 15-20% faster than GTX 1060 and a bit slower than the RTX 2060. This is probably due to a lower CUDA Core count which is reportedly 1536 on the GPU.
In a way, a card like this will make a world of sense for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a new GPU but still want a decent upgrade for their mid-range GTX 1060. It remains to be seen what other types of offerings the rumoured GTX 11-series range could have in store for PC gamers.
