Before the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti was released, we reported on a bunch of rumours that turned out to be true, from images surfacing to benchmarks being leaked. Next up is the GeForce GTX 1650 and the GTX 1660 and if history repeats itself, we will see new cards from NVIDIA release in March and April this year. These are obviously for the PC gamer on a budget, so don’t expect 4K gaming at 60 FPS. However, it is great to see, just like with the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, that NVIDIA is giving users a budget option based on Turing architecture without the RTX bells and whistles.

Keep in mind that you should always take information like this with a grain of salt. However, it really isn’t hard to believe that NVIDIA will roll out more Geforce cards, especially since the RTX range didn’t sell as well as expected. With that out of the way, the rumours suggest that the GeForce GTX 1660 will launch on 15 March starting at $229. The GTX 1650 will be launching on 30 April starting at $179.
As spotted by PC Gamer, Hardwareluxx’s Andreas Schilling posted this information on Twitter, including some images (one of them above) which he claims is marketing material for the new GPUs. Mr Schilling noted that the GeForce GTX 1660 will use a cut-down version of the TU116 GPU found in the GTX 1660 Ti and the card will also have 6 GB of VRAM.
According to Mr Shilling, there is even less information about the GeForce GTX 1650. The only thing rumoured is that the card will use 4 GB of VRAM, but GDDR5 instead of GDDR6 to cut down on production costs.
It remains to be seen if this information turns out to be true, but it does make sense that NVIDIA wouldn’t just leave the series at one singular GPU and a budget card like the GeForce GTX 1650 could be just the thing some gamers are waiting for.
