George R.R Martin Consulted on a Game of Thrones Video Game Out of Japan

A Song of Fire and Ice writer George R.R Martin has consulted on a video game developed in Japan. Could this be the Game of Thrones game we have been waiting for? It seems so as industry insiders have not only confirmed the recent blog post report but also that Martin would be collaborating with Hidetaka Miyazaki on the game.

Martin revealed the juicy info on his blog where he states that he consulted on a video game out of Japan. Back in March. YouTube channel Spawn Wave posted a video discussing the rumour regarding the next game from Dark Souls and Bloodborne developer From Software which stated it is an open-world title with horse riding, and George R.R Martin is one of the lead writers on the project.

According to reports, the game will feature various kingdoms to visit, abilities to gain and leaders to slay which will, in turn, grant you more abilities. An insider that knows about the project said it is called Project “GR” and has been in development for over three years at From Software. The game is a collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R Martin published by Bandai Namco and will be officially announced at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference.

With E3 just a couple of weeks away, the excitement is building to see what this game is all about. There could not have been a better match than Miyazaki and Martin to develop a hardcore Game of Thrones game.
