BlizzCon 2018’s opening ceremony wasn’t too impressive this year. There has been a lot of backlash from Diablo fans about the Diablo: Immortal announcement. The only thing people seem to be really excited about is Warcraft III: Reforged, but Blizzard also snuck in a freebie for PC gamers to enjoy. Yes, PC gamers can get Destiny 2 for free right now and keep it forever, if you grab it before the time runs out.

If you already have a Battle.net account, all you need to do is head on over to the Battle.net Gift Page and claim Destiny 2. You have until 18 November to take advantage of this freebie. After you claim it, it will be yours to keep until the inevitable robot or housecat uprising occurs.
Bungie and Activision have announced that the full Destiny 2 base game for PC is now a free gift for all new players on Blizzard Battle.net. For the first two weeks of November, anyone who does not already own the PC game will have the opportunity to claim it as a gift through their Battle.net account.
Bungie is also rewarding existing owners of Destiny 2 PC. Those who already purchased the game on Battle.net will be eligible to receive an exclusive gift of their own: a special in-game emblem marking the game’s anniversary that will be available in December.
For those who never had a Battle.net account but want to claim Destiny 2, you have to jump through one hoop. Blizzard explains that accounts created on or after 2 November 2018 will need to enable Blizzard SMS Protect before claiming Destiny 2 for free.
But that’s not all. Developer Bungie is giving all Destiny 2 players the chance to try Gambit, the new mode that was introduced with Destiny 2: Forsaken. The Gambit free weekend will run from 9 to 11 November, so mark those calendars.
Will you be taking advantage of this awesome freebie? What did you think of BlizzCon 2018 so far? Let us know in the comment section below.
