Get Six Months of Apple TV+ Free With Your PS5

Starting from today, all PS5 owners might be legible for a free six-month Apple TV+ trial by just using the app on your console. Sony and Apple announced the exclusive offer saying that the trial period will let PS5 owners enjoy some of Apple’s original TV content without paying anything extra. This is all done through the dedicated Apple TV+ app on the PS5.

Sony says that from 22 July 2022, PS5 owners simply need to own a PS5 and have a PlayStation Network account and an Apple ID to participate in the offer. After the six-month trial ends, the service will automatically renew if you don’t cancel it in time.

Redeeming the Apple TV+ PS5 trial is easy. You need to head to the Apple TV app on your PS5 by either searching for it or finding it under the “All Apps” on the Media home page. Download the Apple TV app and follow the on-screen instructions. Sign in using your Apple ID or create a new Apple ID if you don’t have one. This will then link the two accounts and enable the free trial period.

Sony says that all PS5 consoles are legible for the trial service. However, this offer is only redeemable on PS5 consoles and not on the mobile or TV app. If you already have an active Apple TV+ subscription or are currently making use of a free trial service you can also redeem this offer. You CANNOT redeem this free Apple TV+ trial on your PS5 if you are subscribed to Apple TV+ through a bundle offer such as Apple One.

Once you have the account and trial active, you can then download the Apple TV app on other participating platforms and watch your content there. The trial service is available in all regions that currently have the Apple TV+ service active. This includes South Africa (for a change). You can find out more about the offer on the PlayStation site here.
