The beta is the first public testing of the upcoming shooter and it is not an open beta test (sorry) but there are various ways you can get access to the Breakpoint beta.

How to get access to the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Beta?

First off you can pre-order the game. By pre-purchasing Ghost Recon Breakpoint from Ubisoft, you will get an access code to the beta test which you can then redeem over on the Ubisoft website.

Don’t want to pre-order? Well, then you are in luck. Uplay+ is offering the Breakpoint beta as a value-added service for anyone who signs up. The service is also offering a free trial which is limited to signing up within the next few hours. If you miss that, you can sign up for the service itself and get instant access to 100 games and the beta.

Lastly, anyone who participated in the previously closed alpha tests will automatically get access to the game’s beta.

When does it start and how big is it?

The Breakpoint beta kicks off on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Thursday 5 September at 12:00 South African time and runs until Monday 9 September art 12:00 SAT.

The Ghost Recon: Breakpoint beta comes in at 32GB on PC and 27GB on consoles. Pre-load will be going live on later this week before the beta goes live.

What does it include?

There’s a lot of content to go through during the beta test. You can play the entire experience solo or with three players online in a co-op experience similar to what we showcased during our E3 demo.

The beta will contain four maps across the giant region of the game including Smuggler Coves, Mount Hodgson, Fen Bog, and Sinking Country. There will be two main missions available to undertake which will see you make use of the game’s mechanics to complete.

When you are not doing that, you can explore the vast open world and do eight faction missions that rotate daily. The region will also have other side objectives to undertake including boss fights with the massive drones like the Murmurs, Aamons land drone and the Behemoth tank.
