By the look of things, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed takes some inspiration from the original movie series while also starring a handful of new characters. It is unclear how deep the story and characters go in this game. However, we have a feeling by the look of the gameplay, don’t expect any sort of deep narrative going forward.
The trailer does give us a short glimpse at Ernie Hudson who voices Winston Zeddemore and Dan Aykroyd who returns as Ray Stanz. We just don’t know how far their roles go in the game yet.
Details are still scarce on Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed at the moment. Other than a few gameplay snippets showing off the cool-looking tech shooting and grabbing ghosts, we don’t know how the general gameplay loop will work in the game. We also don’t know if Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will feature any sort of offline or single-player gameplay at this point.
Developer Innfonic says the game is a 4V1 asymmetrical multiplayer game so by the sound of things, this is strictly a multiplayer game. With that being said, Illfonic has confirmed that players can fill the empty spots with AI companions to help them during gameplay.
