One of the main frustrations for users of the mail service by Google has been the horrible Gmail right-click features. The current Gmail right-click menu has a few options and features that some users might find useful, but generally, it lacks being super useful. But now, an update is rolling out that will give the Gmail right-click pop up menu the overhaul it has always needed.
The new Gmail update is pretty simple, and it will be updated without you even noticing a major change to your Inbox. But once your Gmail’s been updated, you will receive a more useful pop-up menu when you right-click on your messages.
Right now, when you right-click on messages in your Gmail Inbox, you will be presented with these basic options in the pop-up menu that appears:
- Mark As Read; or
Once the new update starts rolling out, the Gmail right-click pop-up menu will be what it actually always should’ve been – a useful tool to navigate easily through your Gmail Inbox and organise and customise your messages.
The new and improved pop-up menu that appears when you right-click on your messages in Gmail, will give you many more useful options to become master of your email inbox. The new options introduced by this Gmail update are:
- Reply to, or forward, an email in one click from the main page;
- Search for all emails from a sender;
- Search for all emails with the same subject (if conversation view is turned off);
- Open multiple emails in multiple new windows at the same time; and
- Easily add a label or move an email.
These are very basic options, but options that can make your Gmail life easier.
The initial rollout for the new Gmail right-click features has started for G suite users with Rapid Release domains. On 22 February 2019, the update will be pushed to Schedule Release users. Free Gmail account users can expect the update to be rolled out for them soon, too.
How will the new Gmail right-click pop-up menu make your inbox life better?
