Publisher Gearbox and developer Counterplay Games have announced that Godfall: Ultimate Edition will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam on 7 April. After spending a couple of years as a PlayStation exclusive, the game will finally release on other consoles.

Godfall: Ultimate Edition will come with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Dolby Vision support on Xbox consoles, which weren’t available on the PlayStation version. Xbox and PC players will also get a limited-time discount on the game at $10 less than the regular price.

Daniel Nordlander, Game Director at Counterplay Games, said in a recent statement:

“Godfall: Ultimate Edition is the pinnacle of the epic high fantasy adventure we set out to make when developing our ambitious next-gen RPG. Ultimate Edition not only opens the realms of Aperion to Xbox and Steam players, but also contains the recently announced Exalted Update, our latest and largest addition to the game. The combination of several major fan-driven changes and new platform availability truly makes this the absolute best time for anyone to join the fight against Macros.”

The massive Exalted update will launch on 7 April alongside the Godfall: Ultimate Edition as well. The update promises to bring some much-needed changes to the narrative, including giving Macros more of a presence during the campaign and expanding Ravenna and Soras’ interactions during the story and in the Sanctum.

Other gameplay tweaks in the update includes new timing-based attacks, a new knockdown recovery ability and a revive system. New Valorplate Shards will also be added into the game that gives players other options for customising each of the twelve Valorplate armours, as well as new powerful Ascendant and Exalted forms.

Godfall: Ultimate Edition launches on 7 April for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
