Warner Bros. Montreal showcased a new trailer for the upcoming Gotham Knights game during DC Fandome this weekend. The trailer is the much-needed update on the game which was originally set to release this year but was unfortunately delayed into 2022. The trailer also focused mainly on the mysterious Court of Owls – a group of cultists who apparently run Gotham City through the shadows. We also get to see the four playable characters but there’s no real gameplay to watch, sadly.
The trailer is narrated by Penguin who opens up the video touching on Batman and Jim Gordan’s death. We know that Gotham Knights is set in the Arkham universe but we don’t know if Batman’s death is related to the ending of Arkham Knight.

Penguin goes on to explain that the Court of Owls run Gotham City and while many don’t believe they exist, they are a major threat to the people. The rest of the trailer showcases the Court of Owls and their unsettling base of operations throughout the city. Not only are they hidden in every corner of the city but they are also much bigger than they seem. They also have a range of leaders and goons who will most likely act as the game’s enemies.
We also get to see the four playable characters including Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood. While there’s no real gameplay or combat to watch, it is still better than nothing. Just like the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League trailer that arrived at DC Fandome, this didn’t reveal how the actual game is going to play.
Check out the Gotham Knights trailer below. The game is expected to launch sometime in 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
