Gotham Knights Superheroes Games Batman Spider-Man

Gotham Knights Release Date Officially Announced

Warner Bros. Games and developer WB Montreal have revealed the official release date of Gotham Knights as 25 October 2022. The DC game will arrive later this year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

In a recent Twitter update, the official Gotham Knights account revealed a new image listing the release date of the anticipated game as 25 October 2022. This comes ahead of a PlayStation State of Play showcase happening later today.

A trailer wasn’t provided with the release date for Gotham Knights, meaning it’s possible we might see a trailer show up at the upcoming State of Play instead.

Gotham Knights will allow players to either tackle the campaign solo or with a friend in co-op. On the eve of Bruce Wayne’s death, the Batfamily consisting of Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood and Nightwing must band together to face some of Gotham’s most notorious villains, including a rising shadowy organization known as the Court of Owls.

Gotham Knights was first announced at the digital DC FanDome event in 2020 alongside Rocksteady’s own upcoming game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The game will not be a sequel or attached to Rocksteady’s previous Batman Arkham games, but will instead take place in its own universe (which is rather confusing as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League actually takes place within their Arkham universe). Nonetheless, it’s also the first game to present players with the opportunity to co-operatively play as the entire Batfamily in a dedicated story.

Warner Bros. previously reiterated that Gotham Knights, along with Hogwarts Legacy, will release sometime in 2022, and now we have an official confirmation on a release date.

Gotham Knights officially releases on 25 October 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
