February 2022 is a big month for Sony. Along with third-party releases like Elden Ring and Dying Light 2, the company is also releasing two first-party games including Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 (that releases in very early March). If you’re picking up all of these games, storage on your PS5 console might be an issue. According to PlayStation Game Size, Gran Turismo 7 alone requires over 90GB of storage space to install. This is in addition to Horizon Forbidden West and its 85GB file size.
While the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account isn’t always perfectly accurate with these reports, they are usually in the same ballpark when revealing game file sizes for PS5 and PS4. The account reports that the game, which has been uploaded onto the PlayStation Network server for early patching and development, is sitting with a file size of exactly 89.445GB.

Keep in mind that this Gran Turismo 7 file size excludes any day-one updates and patches. The account reports that the pre-load for Gran Turismo 7 will go live on 25 February 2022 ahead of its release on 4 March. This will give players enough time to download the hefty file before the game releases.

With a day-one update, players could see Gran Turismo 7 hit close to the 100GB mark. Best start deleting games or look into an SSD upgrade. We recommend the Samsung 980 Pro. Gran Turismo 7 launches on 5 March 2022 for PS4 and PS5. Check out the latest trailer down below.
