Rockstar is known for creating a satirical narrative of the world through the Grand Theft Auto series of games and the latest update coming to Grand Theft Auto Online is so meta that it’s not even satire at this point. The new update is titled The Criminal Enterprises and is set to release on the 26th July, which will see Southern San Andreas suffering from surging petrol prices, a crippled economy and a ridiculous heatwave – sound familiar?

In the trailer we can hear a newscaster talking about how “this summer continues to break records for the hottest temperature since last year!”, probably referencing how heatwaves are getting warmer each and every year.
