Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy

Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Logo and Achievement Art Leak

Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy is officially 2021’s worst kept secret. The game has leaked multiple times over the past year with reports detailing the release plans and rumours of a revamped game engine. Rockstar is gearing up to announce the game anytime now as the company has officially started teasing it on the Rockstar launcher. In addition, the full achievement art for all three games has leaked online detailing the trophies and artwork.

First off we have the Rockstar Launcher that was recently updated. However, in the latest build users were able to spot direct references to the Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy. Using a hex editor, modders spotted code hidden away in the files that directly lists the three games.

Then we have the Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy logos that also appeared through the launcher. The three logos include GTA III, GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City. This confirms that the three games included in the trilogy are not recent releases.

Lastly, we have the achievement art. Each game in the trilogy is set to receive a handful of new achievements. Both GTA III and GTA San Andreas are getting 15 new achievements and trophies while GTA Vice City is getting 9. You can view all the achievements and trophy art here.

Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy

At the moment very little is known about the Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy release. According to reports, all three games have been shifted over to Unreal Engine 4. Many users who are familiar with the project also state that the trilogy isn’t a remake nor have Rockstar rebuilt any of the assets. Perhaps they simply ported the three games over to Unreal Engine 4 and reworked them? Seems like an impossible task given how old they are.

Rockstar hasn’t teased any announcement or reveal date as of yet. However, users seem to think the games will be announced on 22 October which coincides with the 20th anniversary of GTA III. Seen as everything has leaked up to this point, you might as well prepare to replay the three games again sometime later this year.
