Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition PS5 File Size Revealed

The PS5 file size for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been revealed, and it’s a bit smaller than the file sizes for Xbox consoles. Thanks to the reliable PlayStation Game Size Twitter profile, we got a good breakdown of how much space all three remastered games will require on PS5.

According to PlayStation Game Size, Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition will require 5.293 GB of free space on PS5, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition will require 10.768 GB, while Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition will require 22.679 GB. In total, players are looking at 38.74 GB to install the entire trilogy on PS5.

Compared to the Xbox Series X/S release which comes in at 49 GB, the PS5 install is about 10 GB lighter. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass owners will also get access to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition at launch, while the rest of the games will require players to purchase the full package.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition comes with a number of visual and gameplay enhancements, with developer Rockstar Games tweaking the overall mechanics to be closer to that of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar describes these improvements and additions:

“Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Editionintroduces wide-ranging modern control upgrades, including improvements to targeting and lock-on aiming, updated Weapon and Radio Station Wheels, updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation allowing players to set waypoints to destinations, updated Achievements, Trophies, and more. The Nintendo Switch version also features Switch-specific controls including Gyro aiming, as well as touch screen camera zooming, pans, and menu selections, while the PC version includes support for NVIDIA DLSS and additional new Accomplishments via the Rockstar Games Social Club.”

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition launches on 11 November 2021 for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
