Ever since the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped, fans have been left wondering who will be voicing the roles of the dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos (or resident Bonnie and Clyde crime duo). It’s been speculated for over a year who the voice actress, body and face model for Lucia could be, though Rockstar Games has yet to make any official announcements about the cast for GTA 6. Fans have their own theories, though.
After hearing Jason a bit more closely in the GTA 6 trailer, fans suspected that voice actor Roger Craig Smith, who voiced Chris Redfield in Resident Evil and Ezio Auditore in Assassin’s Creed, might’ve been behind the role. However, Smith took to X to debunk these rumours. “Nope. Not me. Just to clarify,” he said. “LITERALLY attempting to clarify that it is NOT my voice in that trailer. Just to clarify my earlier clarification.”
The second suspect is Gregory Connors, an actor previously seen in Road House and The Blacklist. He certainly has a similar-sounding voice and facial features to Jason, though it can’t be confirmed at this point.
Meanwhile, Lucia’s alleged voice actress, body and face model seems a lot more convincing and it’s not a new discovery either. As far back as last year after the first trailer debuted, fans theorised that Manni L. Perez was behind the role of Lucia. Have a look for yourself below:
Adding a bit more fuel to the fire, Perez also follows Rockstar Games on Instagram, so it can’t be a coincidence. However, Rockstar has yet to actually confirm if Perez is voicing Lucia, so we’ll have to wait for official announcements to see if the community was correct. Personally, we think there might be some weight to the Gregory Connors theory for Jason.
GTA 6 launches on 26 May 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
