After pulling the trigger earlier than expected on Grand Theft Auto V going free over on the Epic Game Store, gamers could not wait to grab the free game. While everything is now up and running and you can easily go and add GTA V to your account, it was a rough couple of hours. Users reported “error 500” issues while trying to access the store. In addition, Fortnite was experiencing errors on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store.
We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We’ll provide an update as soon as we can.

It took a good couple of hours before Epic Games managed to get things under control. Thankfully, it is all resolved now.
Epic is letting users claim the Premium Edition of Grand Theft Auto V which includes both the single-player and GTA Online. The package also includes an additional $1,000,000 cash bonus for GTA Online.
Epic will be giving another game away next week. We don’t know what it is but we will share information if we spot anything.
