Take-Two Interactive Software has revealed the latest stats for two of its biggest IPs on the market. According to its latest quarterly financial call, Red Dead Redemption 2 has shipped 43 million units worldwide. In addition, GTA V has surpassed 160 million units making it one of the biggest video games of all time.

The company boasts some record-high sales figures across both franchises. To date, the Grand Theft Auto series has shipped over 370 million units and Red Dead Redemption 65 million units.

Take-Two Interactive Software also says that engagement across both of these games is stronger than ever. This includes the single-player experience as well as the online multiplayer modes. Keep in mind that GTA V is about to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S next month. This makes it the third console generation to see the same Grand Theft Auto game released on the platforms.

Take-Two chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick is happy with the overall sales from both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. He says that player numbers remain high and stable thanks to the ongoing new content added to both online modes.

Rockstar has also recently confirmed that GTA 6 is in development which will most likely cause a surge in even more sales for GTA V. In addition, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game are also on their way. I won’t be surprised to see GTA V hitting close to the 180 million mark by the end of 2022.
