Gungrave GORE Might be Coming Day One to Xbox Game Pass

Gungrave GORE, the upcoming South Korean action game from Gangnam-based studio Iggymob, might be coming Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game appeared in a recent Xbox newsletter where it’s listed as an Xbox Game Pass title, due to be published by Prime Matter on 22 November.

The email was sent out to various European players and media outlets which all reported that Gungrave GORE was listed as an Xbox Game Pass title, leading many to speculate that it will arrive on Microsoft’s subscription service on day one.

The official description for Gungrave GORE reads:

“Stylish third-person shooting meets close-range martial arts, creating seamlessly flowing action as you crush your enemies in a gory ballet of bullets. Utilise your unlimited ammo Cerberus pistols and your transformable EVO-coffin to unleash devastating combos in pursuit of maximum damage and style.”

A release date of 22 November 2022 was recently confirmed via new gameplay trailer. Gungrave GORE marks the third entry in the gaming series, with the last entry, Gungrave: Overdose, releasing over 18 years ago on the PS2.

Gungrave GORE coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Xbox has been attempting to include a more diverse selection of games from developers and publishers around the world and this South Korean-developed action game seems ideal for the service.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t been confirmed yet by either Iggymob or Microsoft, so we’ll have to wait for an official announcement soon.

In related news, Xbox recently confirmed that the Bloodborne-inspired dark fantasy Pinocchio Souls-like, Lies of P, will also come to Xbox Game Pass when it releases in 2023. The game recently made waves at Gamescom in Germany, winning the Best PlayStation Game award for spectators on the show floor.

Gungrave GORE releases on 22 November 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
