Halo Infinite physical copies are out in the wild, breaking street date. With that comes a flood of spoilers that you might potentially see online in the next few days, so be weary of social media and all Halo Infinite-related tags and topics. The game is still on track to release on 8 December, but it looks like copies have gotten out early.
This isn’t the first time that a major game has broken street date, which is the day that the games are allowed to be released in retail outlets. However, since physical discs are often shipped to retailers earlier than the game’s release date, a breach of the street date is bound to happen. The same has now happened with Halo Infinite, which packages its anticipated and mysterious single-player campaign.

As reported by Twitter user MauroNL, it looks like Halo Infinite physical copies are making their rounds in the wild, and it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing campaign spoilers appear online. In fact, cutscenes from the campaign have already started leaking, and it’s possible we might get the full story leaked before the game’s even out.
Halo Infinite is the next major project from developer 343 Industries and the last flagship exclusive release of the year for Xbox. The Halo Infinite free-to-play multiplayer was already shadow-dropped a few weeks ago, but the single-player campaign arrives on 8 December for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (also available day one via Xbox Game Pass). With the story serving as a soft reboot and anticipated continuation of the plot set up in Halo 5: Guardians, fans are curious to see Master Chief’s journey come to a head as he searches for Cortana.
If you’re excited for Halo Infinite‘s campaign and don’t want to be spoiled, we recommend treading social media with caution over the next few days.
