It looks like the development of Halo Reach for PC is going pretty well with testing going on right now. Developer 343 Industries have shared an update on their progress, talked about cross-play and importantly for PC gamers, revealed the detailed Halo Reach PC specs, aka the system requirements.
First up, it looks like cross-play between PC and Xbox One won’t make it to Halo Reach at launch, but it might be added later. However, Steam and Windows Store players will be able to play the game together. With this announcement, 343 Industries also revealed how cross-progression will work.
Note that for green, data is retained across devices, while red means no cross-progression and blue is in special cases for example with Steam Cloud.
Now, onto the game’s PC specs, or system requirements if you will. Keep in mind that the Halo Reach PC specs below might change before launch, but developer 343 Industries do want it to run well on many PC setups, from potatoes to high-end gaming rigs.

Our goal has been to optimize it to run on the lowest possible specs and we believe we have reached our intended goal. With the help of the Halo Insider program we have received feedback and monitored how the title has played on a wide range of systems and below are the currently recommended minimum specifications for the Steam version of Reach on PC. We are in the process of testing more options with integrated graphics but are not ready to share that information quite yet. The specs will be slightly different for the Windows Store version as well and will be shared at a later time.[/perfectpullquote]
