Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Revealed – Limited Playtests Available

Warner Bros Games has announced Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, a standalone competitive multiplayer experience set in the Wizarding World (unrelated to Hogwarts Legacy). The game will be coming to PC and unconfirmed consoles but players can already sign up for limited playtests which will kick off in just a few days.

According to Warner Bros Games, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is “a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer game featuring the world’s most iconic magical sport.” It’s billed as a standalone experience that “engages players in the sport of Quidditch and other broomstick adventures alongside friends in a competitive, multiplayer setting.” The publisher wasn’t able to confirm which consoles the game will be available on, though it will likely go to PlayStation and Xbox platforms as well.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will allow players to customise their own Quidditch player and compete in online matches, either solo or as a team. A constant internet connection is required for both options.

Quidditch Champions has been in development for several years from Unbroken Studios, which is currently assisting with the console versions of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The studio also previously developed and self-published the mobile multiplayer shooter Fantastic Plastic Squad as well as the PC battle royale game Fractured Lands. Unbroken Studios currently employs around 100 staff.

Hogwarts Legacy publisher Portkey Games will handle publishing duties for Quidditch Champions, though no release date has been revealed yet. However, players can already sign up for the limited playtests which are set to take place between 21-22 April. Head over here to sign up but keep in mind, it is a limited test so there’s no guarantee you’ll get in.

There’s no word yet on Hogwarts Legacy receiving its own Quidditch mode despite it reportedly being part of the game’s development that was cut out before launch. Check out the reveal trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions below:
