Hatsune Miku, the popular Vocaloid mascot, will reportedly arrive in Epic Games’ battle royale, Fortnite, in 2025. Fortnite has a rich history of big crossovers and collaborations with unexpected characters from pop culture, including Marvel, DC and many gaming and anime franchises. Fans can now look forward to Hatsune Miku joining the game next year.
According to reliable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, Hatsune Miku will be added to the game sometime in 2025, though no specific date was mentioned. That’s about all the information we have on the arrival of the Vocaloid mascot for now. The leak was also corroborated by another leaker, FNBRintel, so it seems like Hatsune Miku is all but confirmed to happen. Of course, we still recommend taking it with a pinch of salt until Epic Games makes an official announcement.
In addition to Hatsune Miku, more rumours suggest that Fortnite could also be getting collaborations with Bandai Namco’s popular fighting game franchise, Tekken, as well as SEGA’s long-running series, Yakuza. It’s unclear if this means new skins from the Tekken and Yakuza franchises or something else, though it’s another rumour that we’ll simply have to wait for confirmation on too.

In other news, Fortnite could be getting a 5v5 first-person shooter mode in the near future. The report claims that it might be similar to other 5v5 shooters on the market such as Valorant, Counter-Strike and Overwatch. Epic Games is reportedly testing this new mode right now, though it remains to be seen if it will actually make it to the game.
