Last week, Microsoft and developer Ninja Theory officially announced that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, its award-winning action/adventure game, will finally be ported over to PlayStation. When the game initially launched on Xbox Series X/S and PC last year, it was only available to purchase and download digitally for $50. Physical games firm Limited Run Games has announced that it will now be bringing a physical version to PS5.
Video Games Chronicle reports that Hellblade 2 will be getting a physical version on PS5 courtesy of Limited Run Games. This much was revealed via a recent ESRB listing. Interestingly, a second ESRB listing suggests that Limited Run is also working on a physical version of the first Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for Nintendo Switch (it will likely have an upgrade path for Switch 2).
Considering that Limited Run Games is creating the physical version, it’s possible that the boxed game will only be available in limited quantities. As of writing, the company has yet to put up a pre-order page or any listings but we should expect it soon. Keep an eye out on its official website for updates.
The story description for Hellblade 2 provided by PlayStation reads:
“The sequel to the award winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 arrives optimised for PlayStation 5, and PS5 Pro Enhanced, with added features and immersive haptic feedback for new ways to experience the award-winning and critically acclaimed next chapter of Senua’s story.”
