Marvel Studios and Disney have a stacked scheduled ahead for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including movies and TV shows such as Ironheart, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and of course, the major Avengers movies. Marvel Studios recently shuffled around some release dates (and hopefully they’re set in stone this time). Here’s what the MCU release schedule now looks like until 2027.
Before we dive in, it’s worth noting that some Marvel Studios movies and TV projects are still without release dates, so we’ll list them as TBD.
MCU Release Schedule Until 2027
Ironheart – TV (24 June 2025)
Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart, a young genius inventor “who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.” Williams first made an appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and she’s getting her own TV series later this month.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps – Movie (25 July 2025)
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a reboot of Marvel’s iconic superhero family and stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer. The superhero team “must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.”
Marvel Zombies – TV (October 2025)
Spinning off from Marvel’s What If…?, Marvel Zombies “reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge.” Fans can expect to see undead versions of Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Ghost, Abomination, Captain Marvel and Okoye when the show hits Disney Plus this Halloween.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day – Movie (31 July 2026)
Shang-Chi’s Destin Daniel Cretton will helm the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, which will follow the events of No Way Home and see Peter Parker return to being the friendly neighbourhood superhero. No villain has been cast yet and details surrounding the movie are being kept tightly under wraps by Marvel Studios.
Avengers: Doomsday – Movie (18 December 2026)
Just in time for the holiday season, Avengers: Doomsday is the culmination of the new MCU phases dealing with the multiverse and its impact on our heroes. Robert Downey Jr. will return to the cinematic universe but not as Iron Man. Instead, he will don a different type of iron mask as the movie’s main antagonist, Doctor Doom. A huge cast is set to appear in the upcoming Avengers event movie.
Vision Quest – TV (2026)
A spin-off TV series focused on Vision is still in production at Marvel Studios, as far as we know, despite the lack of any updates. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision and there’s a very good chance we’ll also see Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, but details are scarce.
Avengers: Secret Wars – Movie (17 December 2027)
Much less is known about Avengers: Secret Wars than any other upcoming movie in the MCU, which is a good thing. The Russo brothers, known for helming Infinity War and Endgame, will direct both Doomsday and Secret Wars. The title of the movie suggests that it may follow the popular comic book source material but as we’ve come to see in the MCU, several liberties are taken.
The following movie and TV shows are currently listed as TBD as Marvel Studios has yet to pin a release date on them:
- Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 – TV (Date TBD)
- Blade – Movie (Date TBD)
- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2 – Movie (Date TBD)
