Sony has announced the South African pricing for the all-new PlayStation Plus service expected to launch on 22 June 2022. In South Africa, the service starts at R119 for the PlayStation Plus Essential and goes up to R209 for the PlayStation Plus Deluxe package.
South Africans can also benefit from a discounted rate by purchasing 3-month and 12-month subscriptions.

Ideally, if you want the best package which includes access to the 340+ PS4 and PS5 game library plus access to the Classics catalogue, you will pay R209 per month for Deluxe. However, if you are just looking for access to the 340+ PS4 and PS5 game library, that falls under the PlayStation Plus Extra tier and will cost R179 per month.

Sony shared its plans for existing PlayStation Plus members who have existing stacked subscriptions. In short, you will be charged the difference between the new service tier and what you were on previously. So for example, if you have 12 months of PlayStation Plus left and subscribe to the Deluxe tier of 12 months, you will be charged R680 which is the difference between the two packages. The FAQ says:
When the new PlayStation Plus membership plans launch, you will be able to upgrade to a plan with more features and benefits. When you upgrade you will be charged a pro-rated fee to level up the remaining time on your existing membership to the desired level. For example, if you purchased a 12-month membership five months ago and have seven months left, you will need to pay a pro-rated upgrade fee to upgrade your remaining seven months to the desired plan level. Then on your next payment date, you will be charged for the standard price of the membership plan level that you upgraded to at your current payment frequency.
