IO Interactive shared the first look at Hitman 3 over on the PlayStation Blog and the game looks great. Built on the Glacier Engine, Hitman 3 will take advantage of the PS5 not only through visuals such as 4K 60FPS but also with DualSense controller support. According to the blog, all of the guns in the game will support adaptive triggers which delivers an authentic sensation with each shot you fire.

Essentially, we’re emulating what it feels like to fire a specific weapon in the same way that we’re replicating how each weapon sounds.”[/perfectpullquote]
IO Interactive says that the DualSense controller also delivers a cool “Focus Effect” that slows down time around the player when gently pressing in the R2 button. Your finger will feel the tension point and resist your pressure when you activate the mode.
Apart from the DualSense controller features, IO Interactive says there’s no wrong way to play the game. Each mission is packed with dozens upon dozens of methods which players can utilize in the pursuit of their target. New tools, weapons, physics and characters will let players plan their approach to each assassination. When they have completed the mission, they can then do it all over again in a whole new way using new tools and skills unlocked by progressing through the game.
It goes without saying that Hitman 3 releases for past-gen and current-gen hardware on 20 January 2021. Players can also upgrade to the newer version for free. The game is also fully playable in PS VR on both PS5 and PS4. Check out the gameplay trailer down below;
