Players who own the original Hitman or Hitman 2 will be able to import locations into the upcoming Hitman 3 for free. This means that if you want the full Hitman experience in one place then the upcoming game will be the hub for it all when it launches later this week. However, IO Interactive announced that the import feature won’t be available at launch for PC players. This is mainly due to the other two games being owned by different publishers. Thankfully, the developer is currently working on a fix and will give away a freebie to PC players to say sorry for the hassle.

IO Interactive revealed that PC players will not need to repurchase Hitman and Hitman 2. At the launch of Hitman 3, the import feature simply won’t work but they will patch in the option in the “coming weeks.” To make up for the lack of the import feature at launch, IO Interactive is giving all players who purchase Hitman 3 within the first 10 days of launch the Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass. Keep in mind that this is for PC players only.

IO Interactive has previously detailed the pre-launch plans for Hitman 3. In addition, this includes players carrying over progress from Hitman 2 into the new game. Furthermore, if players don’t own the first two games they can purchase the Access Passes on the Epic Games store at an 80% discount for the first 14 days after launch.
As for console owners, the process is a lot simpler. Those who own Hitman and Hitman 2 can take advantage of the previous levels in these games by simply installing the previous content and accessing it through Hitman 3. If you don’t own the first two games then make sure you pick them up before launch. They are also currently on sale on the PlayStation Store.
