Hogwarts Legacy is now available for Deluxe Edition owners and if you’re playing the game and looking out for all the cool goodies you got for spending the extra cash on it, we have you covered. During the review process for Hogwarts Legacy, I played the game for a few hours before discovering where exactly to find The Dark Arts pack, which came with the Deluxe Edition game I received. The game doesn’t really explain how to access your Deluxe Edition content so to save you time, here’s how to find The Dark Arts Pack in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to Access The Dark Arts Pack in Hogwarts Legacy
The Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition comes with some cool cosmetic items to equip your witch or wizard with. However, these items are just that – cosmetic. That means they don’t have any traits or stats to them. In fact, they are simply transmog items which overlay the current equipment you’re wearing.
This means that you can access The Dark Arts Pack as soon as virtually possible in Hogwarts Legacy. The moment you have access to the inventory system, you’ll be able to find and equip your Dark Arts gear onto your character.
Simply head on over to your “Gear” tab in the game. Once there, hover over each equipment slot and press the square button (X on Xbox). This will bring up the Appearance window. Here, you’ll be able to transmog your gear with the collected appearance items. The top tab houses the cosmetic items you have unlocked through the pre-order content and The Dark Arts Pack. The bottom section includes the items you’ll unlock by completing certain objectives in Hogwarts Legacy.
You’ll now need to choose the Dark Arts item for each of the gear slots you have. There are gloves, a mask, a set of cool-looking robes, inner clothing, and a hat.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to reskin your gear after you change it. This means if you find better robes with increased stats, you’ll need to head into the Appearance tab once again after you have equipped them. The same goes for every other item you change.
How to Access The Dark Arts Battle Arena
The Dark Arts Battle Arena is another incentive that comes with the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition. This battle arena is quite unique as it lets the player gain access to high-level curses while participating in intense wave-based combat.
In order to access The Dark Arts Battle Arena, you’ll first need to find it on the map. The Dark Arts Battle Arena is found in the Forbidden Forest near the midsection. Here’s an image to give you a rough estimate.
Once you take out the enemies protecting the statue in the area, you’ll then need to break a set number of vases scattered around the statue. Simply shoot them with your wand. Once done, a short cutscene will show the statue’s moving position. This means it is now unlocked. Head on over to the statue and enter it. This will teleport you to the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
How to Access Thestral Mount
Lastly, the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition also comes with a Thestral Mount. However, accessing the mount doesn’t happen until much, much later in the game’s campaign. In fact, you’ll likely forget all about the mount until you unlock mounts and remember you had it. I don’t want to spoil the game. Just know that getting the Thestral Mount in Hogwarts Legacy happens later in the game when you unlock the ability to use general mounts. It will be added to the collection of other mounts you can use.
