Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, has been rated in South Korea, suggesting that news might be coming our way soon and hopefully with a release date. To add a bit more fuel to the fire, Microsoft recently updated the game’s page on the Xbox store this week, giving players the option to wishlist the game.
A ResetEra user noticed the rating for Hollow Knight: Silksong in South Korea, which was actually filed back in February but never spotted until now. It’s rated suitable for ages 12 and over, much like the first game. When games receive ratings from a country’s ratings board, it usually means that a release date or news is imminent, which could be the case for Hollow Knight‘s anticipated metroidvania sequel too.
Xbox president Sarah Bond also took the opportunity to remind players that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass when it launches, pointing to the game’s updated Xbox store listing.

Developer Team Cherry delayed Hollow Knight: Silksong last year after it was initially meant to release within the first half of 2023, citing that it needed extra time in development. Enough time has passed to believe that the sequel will launch sometime this year for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The official description for Silksong reads:
“Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song! Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak. Hollow Knight: Silksong is the epic sequel to Hollow Knight, the award winning action-adventure. As the lethal hunter Hornet, journey to all-new lands, discover new powers, battle vast hordes of bugs and beasts and uncover ancient secrets tied to your nature and your past.”
